UNSOLICITED SUBMISSIONS POLICY
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Silverway Productions Limited develops and produces creative projects and works with writers, filmmakers, producers and other creative professionals.
As a result, Silverway and people working with Silverway may independently be developing projects, characters, concepts, themes, settings, formats or story elements that resemble material created by other people.
To protect both creators and Silverway, we maintain the following submissions policy.
1. We do not accept general unsolicited submissions
Silverway does not accept unsolicited:
• screenplays
• scripts
• treatments
• pitch documents
• pitch decks
• series bibles
• story ideas
• formats
• concepts
• characters
• synopses
• books or manuscripts
• artwork
• music
• recordings
• films
• television concepts
• audio drama concepts
• game concepts
• or other creative materials
through general Silverway email addresses, website contact forms, social media accounts or other general communication channels.
Please do not send creative material unless Silverway has expressly invited you to do so.
2. Authorised submission routes
Silverway may accept creative work through specific authorised routes.
These may include:
• competitions
• development programmes
• OutWrd initiatives
• calls for submissions
• educational or professional programmes
• development partnerships
• industry initiatives
• direct requests from authorised members of the Silverway team.
Where a particular opportunity has its own submission terms, those terms will apply to material submitted through that route.
3. Your ownership
Submitting material through an authorised Silverway route does not, by itself, transfer ownership of your intellectual property to Silverway.
Creators retain ownership of their work unless they subsequently enter into a separate written agreement providing otherwise.
Participation in a Silverway development activity also does not by itself make Silverway an owner, producer or co owner of a participant's project.
Any rights granted to Silverway must be established separately and expressly.
4. Similarity of ideas
Silverway develops and encounters a substantial number of creative projects.
It is therefore possible that Silverway may already be developing, or may subsequently develop, material containing ideas, themes, genres, characters, settings or other elements that resemble material submitted by another creator.
The existence of similarities does not by itself establish that Silverway has used or copied submitted material.
Nothing in this policy removes any intellectual property rights or legal remedies that a creator genuinely holds under applicable law.
5. Material sent without permission
If you send creative material to Silverway without an authorised submission route or invitation, Silverway is under no obligation to review, assess, retain, respond to or provide feedback on that material.
We may delete or dispose of unsolicited material without reviewing it.
Sending unsolicited material does not create a confidential, fiduciary, contractual, agency, development, producer, representation or other professional relationship between you and Silverway.
6. Confidential information
Do not send confidential creative or commercial information through general contact channels.
Where confidentiality is required in connection with a business or development relationship, appropriate arrangements should be agreed separately.
7. Representatives
Professional representatives, producers and organisations wishing to discuss projects with Silverway may contact us through our designated business contact channels.
Acceptance of correspondence does not constitute acceptance of creative material unless expressly confirmed.
8. Questions
Questions about whether a particular Silverway programme accepts submissions should be directed to the contact identified for that programme before creative material is sent.

Silverway works internationally.
Production information may therefore need to be processed or transferred outside the United Kingdom.
Where data protection law requires safeguards for such transfers, appropriate measures will be used.
9. Retention
Production records may be retained for substantial periods.
This is necessary because Silverway may need to maintain evidence relating to copyright, contracts, permissions, releases, credits, payments, ownership, insurance, distribution and exploitation of productions.
Certain production records may therefore be retained for as long as the relevant production or associated rights continue to have legal or commercial significance.
10. Your rights
You may have rights concerning your personal information under applicable data protection law.
These rights are explained in Silverway's general Privacy Policy.
Certain rights may be limited where information must continue to be retained or processed for contractual, legal, intellectual property or production purposes.
